Miramar Rangers
Miramar Rangers AFC is a semi-professional New Zealand association football club in the Wellington suburb of Miramar. They are current holders of the Chatham Cup, the fourth time they have won the trophy. They compete in the Central Premier League and are the 2011 Central Premier League champions having won it for the fourth time.
In 2004 it became one of the founding principal clubs of the Team Wellington franchise in the ASB Premiership, and since then has won the Central Premier League on four occasions in 1997, 2006, 2008 and 2011, the latter being sealed in the final game of the season in a hard fought 3-2 win over Wairarapa United at David Farrington Park.
Club history
Miramar won the Chatham Cup in 1966, 1992, 2004 and 2010, and were Central Premier League champions in 1997, 2006, 2008 and 2011. Miramar also won the now-defunct National League in 2002 and 2003; the latter was the final National League season.
